| The Village Green has been online since May of 2006. We took the step because we saw a need for accurate local news coverage - and wanted to explore new ways to supply it. This is an exciting age! Citizen Media Web Sites are launching across the United States, and we are proud to say we are one of 450 in the Country, and three in the State of New Jersey recognized recently as part of the Knight Citizen News Network. http://www.kcnn.org/citmedia_sites/ Our mission statement will continue to a basic one. We want to serve as an easily accessible venue for the sharing of information. In order to continue to do so, and in order to grow as a business we must begin to generate business revenue. To do that we want to offer local business advertising space at a rate far below other New Jersey media sites, and even further below print rates. Our pledge to share information from our communities extends to the small business owners that live here. We want to give you the chance to reach your customers without destroying your profit margin. We plan to keep it simple. First of all there will be no long term lock – in. As a business owner the last thing I would want to do is shell out for 6 - months of advertising up front. So ad space will be sold on a month to month basis… period. You have the option to ask for a longer contract, but the longest we will go is two months. This gives you the choice to place an ad when you want to, and use your capital some place else when you don’t. All ads must be prepaid. Advertising will be sold on a flat rate. TAd placement on site will be your choice, on a “first come – first serve” basis. Placement will be locked into that slot for your contract length. Ads can include a hyper link to a business web site, at no extra charge. We accept GIF, JPEG, or Word format. We can utilize an existing ad, in either GIF or JPEG format, or we can create one for you, for a one-time set up fee of $25.00.
